Tobago Cays Marine Park is a stunning and protected area in the Grenadines, part of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty, vibrant marine life, and crystal-clear waters, making it a popular destination for eco-tourism and water-based activities.
The park encompasses about 20 square miles of small, uninhabited islands and cays, which include Petit Rameau, Petit Bateau, and Baradal. It is managed to promote conservation and sustainable tourism. Regulations are in place to protect the delicate ecosystems, including guidelines for anchoring and snorkeling.
Guests of Palm Island Resort and Spa can book an afternoon at the Tobago Cays Marine Park at the front desk at Palm Island. A short boat ride leads you to an afternoon of snorkeling and swimming with sea turtles. Food and drink are provided.
Petite Tabac (image above) is famous for being Rumrunner Island, the island that Jack Sparrow burnt down after being marooned in the 2003 film Pirates of the Caribbean the Curse of the Black Pearl.
If time allows, take a swing over to Mopion Island on the way back to Palm Island. You can also book a trip directly to Mopion if you wish.
