Cook spaghetti according to directions. Reserving ¼ cup of water, drain the pasta. Transfer into a large serving bowl.
While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a skillet. Add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds or until fragrant. Add the broccoli and continue cooking until tender; about 5 minutes.
Add broccoli, lemon zest, salt, and pepper flakes to pasta . Toss adding just enough of the reserved pasta water to moisten.
Sprinkle with goat cheese and serve.
