Ingredients

  • 1/3 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, fresh
  • 2 cups green beans, sliced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 10 3/4 oz. can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 2.9 oz. can French-fried onion rings
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • Pinch of Kosher salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Pinch of garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet and saute the onions and mushrooms. Boil the green beans in the chicken broth for 19 minutes and drain. Add the green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and seasonings to the skillet with the onion and green pepper mixture. Stir well.
  3. Pour into a greased 1 ½ quart baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes and then top the casserole with the cheddar cheese. Bake for 10 minutes longer or until the casserole is hot and the cheese is melted.
